July 6 - 7, 2024 Lightning on the Lake
Since 1928, this annual regatta has welcomed boat racers to Sproat Lake for a full weekend splashout in the Alberni Valley. It’s back for 2024 with motorized action and colourful lakeside fun. Sproat Lake is the unofficial “Okanagan of the Island,” known for its sandy beaches and lake life, and this event brings it all together!
Aug 9 - 11, 2024 Five Acre Shaker
Five Acre Events Co has a new home for live music in Port Alberni. With more room to dance and rock out, Five Acre Shaker will be celebrating its 11th year at the Port Alberni Fall Fair Grounds, and you can bet it'll be a good one. Headliners include Wide Mouth Mason, Yukon Blonde, Blonde Diamond, Liinks, Longwalk Shortdock and more! Plus the festival vibes roll late into the night, with DJ after parties.
Sept 5-8, 2024 Alberni District Fall Fair
Yes, it has fall in the name, but you know the island: this is still prime summer season, and even better, most of the summer holiday crowds have gone home. Check out this friendly local seasonal celebration, going strong since 1947.
