Over the 11 days, the CIFF screens more than 200 multi-genre films from more than 100 countries and highlighted by a series of gala events, awards ceremonies, and special presentations.
Since 2000, CIFF has become one of the largest film festivals in Canada—enjoyed each year by upwards of 28,000 cultural enthusiasts—and a premiere cultural event in Calgary’s social calendar, one of only a few Oscar-qualifying festivals in Canada.
Demonstrating unparalleled diversity and accessibility as an arts medium, CIFF is integral to the cultural fabric of the city, delivering measurable impact, connectivity, and cultural relevance.
