It’s a perfect opportunity for locals and tourists alike to experience the amazing community, and perhaps inspire you to visit in-person too.

How to participate in the first-ever #LLBCOnline Festival:

You can check out the weekly online festival line-up on the Facebook Event Page and tune in for virtual how-tos, tours, fashion shows, giveaways, online shopping, and more!

Experience Lac La Biche County

Lac La Biche County is just a 2.5-hour drive northeast of the Edmonton area.

Not only does the stunning region offer endless outdoor adventure and experiences, it’s also home to many Alberta businesses who are opening their virtual doors for the online festival!

One of those businesses is Straight & Arrow Boutique—a brand new, local clothing store situated on a farm in the hamlet of Plamondon.

Straight & Arrow Boutique is owned by Allison, who launched her store as the pandemic hit. What a unique challenge and opportunity entrepreneur Allison faced with this new business! Allison tried to find the positive in the situation. Not being able to open her store physically during those first few months of the campaign gave her the opportunity to get her online shop and inventory up and running, and give her time to learn the ins and outs of business ownership before her physical store opened this June. It’s been a strange but exciting journey and she’s looking forward to growing her business in the Lac La Biche Region!

Get a glimpse inside Allison’s Straight & Arrow Boutique:

  • If you shop Straight & Arrow Boutique online and use code LINDORK2020 before Sunday, June 28, 2020 you can get 10% off your order! Allison also offers free shipping on orders over $150.

There are all sorts of businesses participating in #LLBCOnline, so if you attend virtually, you’ll get a pretty wide range of advice, how-to, tours, and opportunities for giveaways and special festival discounts!

Learn about the Lac La Biche Libraries' exciting new rental service:

A popular attraction in the Lac La Biche Region is the Lac La Biche Golf & Country Club, which sits on the shores of Lac La Biche Lake, making it one of the most scenic golf courses in Alberta!

Did you know in the golf world, the “19th hole” indicates the pub, bar, or restaurant golfers often head to after their round?

At the Lac La Biche Golf & Country Club, the 19th hole is The Pelican Grill restaurant which just got a new caterer and new menu this year! The Pelican Grill is actually now being operated by the same owners of the Costa Cafe, which is a popular cafe on Lac La Biche’s Main Street!

The Pelican Grill’s current best-selling dishes are their fish and chips and burgers, and they’ve also got some gluten-free options if you’re looking for that. I also had a serious craving for some popcorn shrimp, which is one of their popular appetizers!

It’s easy to #TakeItToTheLake in Lac La Biche County, home to 152 lakes (wow!), with many of those lakes accessible for boating.

Lac La Biche Lake and Beaver Lake are the largest bodies of water in the region and the closest ones to urban centres. There’s so much to see and do in the area, whether it’s hitting the sandy beaches, camping, fishing or hiking—this is the perfect destination for an outdoor escape, practically in your own backyard.

In between your outdoor adventure—stop in and support Lac La Biche Region businesses! Need ideas on who to visit? Tune into #LLBCOnline this summer before you plan a day trip!
