The Sechelt Arts Festival provides accessible arts programming to all residents of the District of Sechelt and area, showcasing local talent to residents and visitors in a professionally produced ten-day event.
The Festival supports and encourages Sunshine Coast artists by providing opportunities for collaboration among the multi-talented coast arts community and embraces all art forms, including dance, music, theatre, heritage, and the visual arts.
Event highlights
In 2024 the festival will celebrate the Salish Sea:
"its other-than-human inhabitants, its waterways and estuaries, its stories of travel and exchange, and its vitalness to Sechelt and its communities. Sechelt, as the land between two waters, has been shaped by the Salish Sea – our past, present and future bound to her, despite the increasing challenges of rising waterways and warming oceans. It is an opportunity to bring together the arts with local climate and ecology focused organisations, to consider ways that art can help support our local ecosystems into the future."

Workshops
Each year there are a number of unique workshops on everything from performance, visual art, music, heritage, to issues of cultural importance and the presentation of creative makers in our community to help educate us on the unique art culture in the community.
