Okanagan Rail Ride

Start the day at Okanagan College in Vernon and enjoy a 52km trail ride along the beautiful Kalamalka lake along the Okanagan Rail Trail to Wood Lake before returning back to Vernon. There will be 3 refreshment stations which will provide 5 opportunities to refill your water bottle, (Water and sport drink will be available) and have a snack (bananas, oranges and Energy Bars.)

The Okanagan Rail Ride is a one-day volunteer run event that supports the "FORT" or "Friends of the Rail Trail" society in maintaining the beautiful bike trails that the ride runs along.

EVENT PACKAGE PICK UP

Saturday, September 17

3:00pm - 4:00pm at Alexanders Beach Pub - location

Sunday, September 18

8:30am - 9:00am at the Event Parking Area Okanagan College, Vernon Campus - location

9:00am - 9:30am - Trail ride begins. (No mass start)
Riders are required to check in at the event tent and receive a bike plate that will be recorded at the start and finish of your ride. 

12:00pm - 3:00pm - When you finish, you will ride back to Alexanders Beach Pub for the finish line celebration which is consists of a BBQ, drinks and live music.

Bike Parking and Bike Security will be provided. Save some energy to ride back to your car at Okanagan College as it is the only uphill of the day. It is all bike path and you will ride down this bike path to the start so remember you have to climb it at the end of the day. 

Register to ride

The Okanagan Rail Ride requires riders to register prior to the event, and prior to August 29th if you wish to receive an event shirt.

Tickets will be on sale until September 4th, or until the event is sold out.

Adult 19+ - $135.00

Youth 13 - 18 - $75.00

12 & under - $55.00

Tickets are non-refundable for this event, but in the event of an injury, scheduling issue, or other unforeseen circumstances the event organizers will allow tickets to be transferred or rolled over to next years event,
