You might get a ticket for jaywalking any other time of year, but not during the annual Jaywalker's Jamboree. The three-day festival is about breaking the rules by meandering right down the middle of the main thoroughfare of Camrose on 50th Street.

Shop. Eat. Play games. Hop on a midway ride. That's just part of the fun during the annual event.

Learn why the Jaywalker's Jamboree is more than just a sidewalk sale.

Features

The Jaywalker's Jamboree features dozens of entertainers, from local dance clubs, bands and singers.

Food vendors serve up an array of foods, from Norwegian lefse (a potato and flour flatbread) slathered in butter and cinnamon sugar, to good old favourites like hot buttered corn on the cob, burgers, fries and mini doughnuts. There will also be Ukrainian, Mexican and Asian goodies on hand, too.

Other activities:

  • Pancake breakfast is offered Friday morning, sponsored by Western Financial Group.
  • Support a good local cause with many service clubs holding fundraisers and raffles.
  • There's a special midway area for children, plus face-painting, clowns and other activities.
  • West Coast Amusements will be on-site providing midway rides and games for all ages.

Admission

Admission to the Jaywalker's Jamboree is free. Wristbands or individual tickets are required for access to the midway rides. For the most up-to-date schedule and ticket information, visit the Camrose & District Chamber of Commerce website.
