Alberta Culture Days

Vermilion has been named a Feature Site for Alberta Culture Days and plans are in full force for an awesome three days, including the showing of A Change of Heart, a film made in Vermilion thirty years ago in 1984.

Last year, around 247,000 Albertans attended Alberta Culture Days events, with more than 70 communities hosting celebrations across the province. Vermilion is proud to be part of this growing tradition. Come and enjoy the arts, heritage and cultural diversity in Vermilion throughout the month of September.

Kick your heels and kick off the weekend on Friday night at the street dance and barbecue. Stay for the weekend to enjoy the pancake breakfast on Saturday morning then get your walking shoes on and stroll through the cultural showcases. Expect anything from Hoop and Highland Dance demos to learning how to paint, dance, spin wool or paint a masterpiece. Sunday afternoon will host a parade followed by the potluck dinner at the Elk's Hall.
